One for the collectors, this breathtaking Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean Turtle watch has been designed in collaboration with ocean explorer and marine conservationist Faiben Costeau, the grandson of famous water explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, Fabien has devoted his life to promoting the need to protect and preserve our oceans. The Fabien ousteau Ocean Learning Centre was created just for this purpose and a portion of the proceeds from each Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean watch will be going straight to this wonderful organisation. With a design based off the ever-so popular and highly collectable Seiko Turtle, this Save the Ocean Special Edition watch boasts a boldly sized 46. 7mm black PVD coated stainless steel case and a large unidirectional rotating bezel decorated a colourful ocean-blue. The case is also equipped with a screw down case back, hardlex crystal glass and a screw in crown to assist in its 200 metre water resistance. The dial of this Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean watch follows a design pattern similar to other Turtle watches we have seen with clear readability, round indices and large hour and minute hands coated in Lumibrite. Hidden within is the V157 solar powered movement, an exquisite Japanese in-house calibre with a special overcharge prevention function, a power reserve of 6 months once fully charged and an accuracy promise of +/- 15 seconds per month.
